eWords?

I'm sure by now you would have seen the pop out window about "The Dictionary Master". (If you don't, please 'always allow pop out windows' for this website.) This is The Distillation Melayu's latest initiative, eWords. To keep this in place, we have now created a Portal site where our various productions are now just one click away!

eWords is Acerians' very own dictionary. Originally, this was an idea by Alston some time at the end of last year. However, it only contained a few words and was pretty much abandoned and forgotten since then. Recently, Trevor (Yihan's ex-classmate) created a dictionary for his class. This reminded me about the dictionary that Alston created some time ago. Alas, here is how eWords came about.

Changes and... iPhone Compatible Website.

There has been couple of changes to the website ever since the revamp and relaunch of iRAdio. You should have noticed them, but just in case you haven't, you can check out the whole list of changes in our changelog here. (Do not navigate if you're tuning in to the radio!)

The latest update brings you compatibility on the iPhone and iPod Touch! Note that you won't be able to tune in to the radio through the iPhone and iPod Touch, but instead serves as an information website. You will be automatically redirected to our iRAdio Mobile page which has been specifically designed and styled for the iPhone and iPod Touch. We hope you will find this update useful.

As our launching date inch nearer, the deejay applications will be opened soon, so look out for the notice!

Introduction to iRAwk

Here's a new radio initiative termed "iRAwk", which is iRA Week in full or can just be called iRawk (iRock). This is iRAdio's very own weekly song ranking system where we accept votes and bring you the top 5 songs each week.

Here is a brief introduction to how the system works.
On Friday, the votes restart.
From Saturday to Thursday, you can vote for your favourite song at http://www.formspring.me/iraradio. Remember to include your name. The format is "[iRAwk]: [Name] [Song - Artist]".
On Friday, the votes will be tallied and the top 5 songs for the week will be aired via iRAdio broadcast.

You are only entitled a vote each week. All votes without names will be forfeited.

Frequently Asked Questions

We are launching our radio station once again and we need deejays who are able to commit and YOU, the listeners, to get more listeners to liven up the station. As such, we have made several changes from the original radio station. Here are the frequently asked questions (FAQ) that no one have asked, no one is asking and I doubt anyone would ask anyway, but just to let you know, here they are.

What does iRAdio stands for?
It stands for Infotainment Radio for Acerians, previously voted by some Acerians, but to maintain our classy and professional status, we decided to change the name to iRAdio, which should actually be written as just iRadio. Note that we are not affiliated to Apple in any way.

What can I do to help?
Glad you asked. You can apply for a deejay position if you have the time, can commit, willing to commit and will commit. If not, all we ask from you is to listen and support the deejay on air. Regardless of whoever they are and whether or not you know him (or her?).

Who can help?
Previously, iRadio deejay applications were only opened for Acerians from class 1A1'09 or 2A1'10, but due to the poor response, we decided to open it up to all Sec 2 Aphelion students. However, anyone can listen to iRadio.

That's it. Deejay applications will be up soon, so let me or Yihan know if you're interested. We'll book a space for you. (Even if we don't, I'm sure we'll have extra spaces, or should I say, leftover spaces.)
